- Memorial services for Patricia Ann Durnin, 62,
formerly of 271 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, will be at 2 p.m.
Saturday in Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St.,
She died Tuesday, July 1, 1997 in Manor Care Health Services, Carlisle.
Born March 5, 1935 in Harrisburg, she was a daughter of the late Park Richard and Martha A. Bender Durnin.
Miss Durnin was a 1953 graduate of South High, Denver, Colo.
She was retired from United Telephone Co., Carlisle, with more than 35 years of service. After retirement, she worked for three years at the F.W. Woolworth store at the MJ Mall, Carlisle.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Carlisle.
Surviving are her nephew, Gordon S. Kelly of Carlisle; two nieces, Diana McLaughlin of Lemoyne and Dena Durnin of Camp Hill; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
There will be no viewing or visitation.

- Services for Anna R. Moore, 57, of 821 Factory
St., Carlisle, will be held at the convenience of the family.
She died Tuesday, July 1, 1997 in a descendant's residence.
Born Aug. 28, 1939 in Frederick, Md., she was a daughter of Edna R. Miller Ride of Frederick and the late William G. Ellis Sr.
Ms. Moore had been employed at the Carlisle Hospital for the last 41 years in the dietary department.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by a son, Charles T. Moore of Carlisle; five brothers, William G. Ellis Jr. of Newville, Edward E. Ellis of Aspers, Richard C. Ellis and Robert W. Ellis, both of Carlisle and David L. Ellis of Mt. Holly Springs; a sister, Dorothy R. Shenck of Mifflinburg; and several nieces and nephews.
Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, Carlisle, is in charge of arrangements.

- Services for Linda Ann Helm Varner Tucker, 54,
of 640 Mickey's Inn Road, Chambersburg, will be held at 2 p.m.
Saturday in Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, 112 W. King St.,
She died Tuesday, July 1, 1997 in her home.
Born Dec. 14, 1942 in Shippensburg, she was a daughter of Margaret E. Doyle Newell of Shippensburg and the late Robert K. Newell Sr.
Mrs. Tucker was a former employee of Cresmart, Shippensburg; Ross Distribution, Carlisle; and the former R&S Dress Factory, Shippensburg.
She was a member of Church of God Pentecostal, Shippensburg and a 1961 graduate of the former Shippensburg High School.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her second husband, John P. Tucker; a son, Charles M. Varner Jr. of Walnut Bottom; five daughters, Darlene S. Cook, Millie F. Varner and Peggy A. Price, all of Chambersburg, Kathy L. Robinson of Greencastle and Rhonda J. Varner of Shippensburg; four brothers, Robert K. Newell Jr. and Roger L. Newell, both of Newville and John A. Newell and Brian R. Newell, both of Shippensburg; seven sisters, Barbara J. Cummings of Newville, Anna M. Martin of Chambersburg, Sandra K. Martin of Orrstown and Christine M. Newell, Audrey E. Rosenberry, Valerie L. Jones and Betty J. Newell, all of Shippensburg; 14 grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles M. Varner Sr., and a brother, Ronald E. Newell.
The Rev. Reuben C. Coldsmith will officiate at Saturday's service. Burial will be in Cleversburg Cemetery, Southampton Township.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
