How do I register to vote and when do I have to register to be able to vote in November’s municipal election?
Individuals who are not registered to vote and wish to vote in the municipal general election in November must do so by Oct. 10, according to the Cumberland County Bureau of Elections.
The election will be held on Nov. 7 and includes a host of municipal, county and state offices on the ballot.
New registrants, or individuals who wish to change their registration, can do so by visiting the Bureau of Elections at 1601 Ritner Highway, Carlisle.
This process can be done online by visiting the Bureau of Elections website www.ccpa.net/66/Bureau-of-Elections.
Voter registration can be also be completed at the local DMV while renewing a driver’s license or at other public agencies, the county clerk of Orphans Court and all armed forces recruitment centers.
Absentee ballots, which are available through the Bureau of Elections office and online, must be submitted by Oct. 31.
