The traffic pattern changes scheduled for the Route 233 (Doubling Gap Road) bridge over Conodoquinet Creek, planned for later this week as part of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s Rapid Bridge Replacement Project, have been rescheduled.
The current traffic pattern will remain in place for the bridge at the Lower Mifflin-North Newton Township line in Cumberland County.
The traffic pattern change will now take place Sept. 20.
During this time, an alternating traffic pattern will be controlled by temporary traffic signals. Construction is anticipated to be complete in May, 2018.
In the event of unfavorable weather or unforeseen activities, this schedule may still change.
The bridge is one of the 558 bridges being replaced under the Rapid Bridge Replacement Project.
