A woman was injured early this morning in a one-vehicle crash on State Route 581 west of mile marker 2.6 in Hampden Township.

Kayla Renee Joseph, 25, was traveling west on Route 581 at around 2:48 a.m. when she lost control of her vehicle as she tried to exit onto the Carlisle Pike ramp, State Police in Harrisburg said.

Police say her vehicle slid into a sign and damaged about 100 feet of guard rail as it tumbled and rolled at a high rate of speed.

The vehicle then caught fire as Joseph exited the vehicle, police said. She was transported to the Hershey Medical Center for treatment of injuries.
