Forecast

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for Cumberland County from midnight through 10 a.m. Saturday.

Rain will fall for most of the day Friday, with a high of 63 degrees in the forecast. But temperatures will begin falling sharply this evening, with a low of 30 by midnight. That will result in mixed precipitation of ice and snow starting around midnight for the region. Snow accumulations of less than an inch and a light glaze of ice are expected.

The ABC27 forecast calls for highs of 25 degrees Saturday and Sunday, with sub-zero wind chills expected for the county Sunday morning.
