Meet Winston and Walker.
Winston is an adult Jack Russell Terrier who has made progress since joining Furry Friends Network at the beginning of the year after being rescued from a hoarding situation in Tennessee. He is no longer scared of everything in the home, though he is still uncomfortable with loud noises, sudden movements and large crowds of people. Slow introductions are best to allow him to warm up at his own pace.
A home without young children would be best, though calmer, older children are fine. He will also benefit from having a canine brother or sister, since he has picked up many behavioral cues from his foster home sibling.
He loves walks and gets excited when he sees the leash, and car rides are also a favorite activity. Once he is comfortable, he is very treat motivated, and he’s perfecting sit, down and shake.
Walker is young short hair kitten who was rescued from a local campground. He was sick when he was found, but he is back to normal kitten behavior after medicine. He likes to jump around and play with other kittens, though he also entertains himself with any toy that’s around.
This kitty has had initial vaccinations, de-worming, flea preventative, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, and has been micro-chipped and altered or will be to be ready for adoption then.
If you can offer Winston and Walker a forever home, please visit the Furry Friends website at www.furryfriendsnetwork.com and complete an application today. Foster homes are needed in order to help more animals like Winston and Walker.
