Meet Tango and Simon.
Tango is Jack Russell Terrier mix who is about 6 to 7 years old. He weighs about 28 pounds and was one of 25 terriers rescued from a hoarding case in Tennessee. He recently completed his journey through the Hounds of Prison Education program, where he made great strides in gaining confidence.
Tango will thrive in a home without a ton of commotion, and he is a snuggle bug. He does enjoy the company of other dogs, but cats are unknown at this point. He has reacted positively to children who are patient with him—peanut butter treats will do the trick. Tango walks very nicely on a leash and enjoys daily excursions.
Simon is a short-haired cat who was found as a stray with five other kittens in the Carlisle area. They were taken in before the winter cold hit, and they are friendly and full of energy. They were born sometime around September.
The kittens love to play with ball chasers and fuzzy mice and with each other. They would prefer to be adopted with another sibling but can make new feline friends. They also like to cuddle on your lap.
This kitty has had initial vaccinations, de-worming, flea preventative, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, and has been micro-chipped and altered or will be to be ready for adoption then.
