Meet Ethel and Clarke.

Ethel is a 5-year-old, 77-pound German Shepherd who is very calm and easy to please. She would do best as an only dog or possibly with a very calm, older male medium to small dog, but she likes not having the stress of another dog in her face.

Ethel has moderate energy - which is uncharacteristic for her age and breed - and she is approachable, though timid and slightly nervous in new situations and places. She is not fear aggressive and will not lunge, bark or seek out other dogs. She mostly ignores or tries to keep her distance when walking or out in public.

She walks nicely on a leash and loves going for car rides, being brushed and snuggling. She is housebroken, not destructive and crates well.

Ethel loves children and people, and seems uninterested in chickens and cats, though she has caught a few squirrels over the years.

She was surrendered to Furry Friends because she could no longer get along with the female pug in the home. The best home for her would be in a quiet, rural setting where a family could include her on trips and errands, and take her for easy walks or short hikes on flat trails.

Clarke and his brother, Arthur, were rescued through TNR activities. Since the boys were young and not yet feral, they were taken into foster care.

Clarke is friendly and sweet, and he enjoys interacting with people. He loves to play and enjoys exploring his foster home. He loves to play with his brother, and would love to find a home with him.

This kitty has had initial vaccinations, de-worming, flea preventative, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, and has been micro-chipped and altered or will be to be ready for adoption then.

If you can offer Ethel and Clarke a forever home, please visit the Furry Friends website at www.furryfriendsnetwork.com and complete an application today. Foster homes are needed in order to help more animals like Ethel and Clarke.
