He can already call himself a U.S. congressman and combat veteran, but Rep. Scott Perry now has a new title: Brigadier general in the U.S. Army National Guard.

Perry was officially promoted Sunday during a ceremony at the Keystone Conference Center at Fort Indiantown Gap, according to military news site DVIDS.

Perry is a graduate of the U.S. Army War College, a helicopter pilot, and served in Kosovo in 2002 and Iraq between 2009 and 2010, according to DVIDS.

The second-term Republic representative’s district includes parts of Cumberland, Adams, Dauphin and York counties.
