Mechanicsburg library to host Run for Reading event

The seventh annual Run for Reading 5K Run/Walk will return on Saturday, Aug. 10, to benefit Mechanicsburg’s Joseph T. Simpson Public Library.

The event will be at Friendship Park at 1901 Fisher Road in Upper Allen Township and will start at 8:30 a.m., with a one-mile Fun Run/Walk starting at 9:15 a.m.

Race information and registration forms are available online at www.simpsonlibrary.org or at the library, located at 16 N. Walnut St., Mechanicsburg. Fees for the 5K run are $20 per person before July 25 and $25 per person after July 25. The fun run is free.
