McDonald’s announced that it will have a grand reopening for its Walnut Bottom Road location in South Middleton Township at 10 a.m. Monday, May 21.
The location had closed at the end of April for interior renovations that are estimated to have cost $730,000, according to South Middleton Township Supervisor Tom Faley.
With the new renovations, McDonald’s said its new store will feature kiosk ordering and table service, where employees will bring the meals to those eating at the fast-food restaurant.
McDonald’s plans a number of events this month to celebrate the reopening of the store.
The grand reopening at 10 a.m. will feature a ribbon cutting and cake. On Tuesday, there will be a Kids Coloring Night from 5 to 8 p.m., where children can get free coloring books and crayons with every in-store Happy Meal purchase.
On Wednesday, May 23, there will be caricatures from 5 to 7 p.m., and McDonald’s will have a bike giveaway drawing at 6 p.m. Friday, May 25. The winner must be present to receive the bicycle.
The following week, McDonald’s will offer a free kiddie cone to those who wear red, white and blue on Memorial Day. There will be a craft night from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 29, and a Family Fun Night featuring face painting from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 30.
