Opponents of a proposed policy allowing gay participation in the Boy Scouts of America say a number of local scouts will participate in a day of rallies nationwide on Friday urging delegates to the national organization to vote against allowing such inclusion.

The website, www.onmyhonor.net, said the local rally, at 12 p.m. Friday at the New Birth of Freedom Council office at 1 Baden-Powell Lane, Mechanicsburg, will feature state Rep. Will Tallman, an Adams County Republican, as a speaker.

The website lists the local rally as the only one in Pennsylvania among 50 such planned gatherings nationwide.

A resolution before the national council, to be voted on by some 1,400 members meeting in Grapevine, Texas, would allow scouting participation by gays but still would ban gays in adult leadership.

So these boy scouts want to rally to support their discrimination against boys who are gay and want to become scouts, and for adults who are gay from being a scout leader.

Is it going to be the boys themselves or are we going to see demonstrate and argue why BSA should not allow scouts who are gay, or is it going to be their parents.

Where will this rally take place as Chic -fil-a restaurants?

What merit badge will the scouts get for this?

Pystil, the scouts are only doing the exact same thing the gay agenda has used. Only, the gays dont want the road to extend both ways. This is still America and people are allowed to make a stand for what they feel is right. Themerit badge would change from

From locking up US citizens in WW II (citizens with Japanese ties), to churches denying two people of different race to marry, and now two people of the same gender to marry children are saturated with bigotry as they grow up. One day these children grow up and realize they were pawns in decisions that eventually courts say is part of every citizen's constitutional rights. We may not like other citizens having the same rights that we have, but "All men are created equal".

Let's see. They are born this way. They are attracted to their own gender and have no interest in females. So, then you want them to sleep in the same quarters, and share bathing facitlities etc.. Using that logic, why not just have "people scouts". Heck, they will be lined up down the streets to go on those outings. Jamboree will take on a whole new meaning.
Would you have heterosexual men taking teen girl scouts on outings as well?
Uh oh, now how can you throw stones? At yourself?

What should be made clear are peoples views on shagging. In this culture, if families are uncomfortable with someone elses bedroom habits, they have a right to find best suitable club for their kids. So instead of LGBT forcing their way in to scouts, how about respecting those families who would rather not be around that type of influence? LGBT started their own clubs in schools, so start your own scouting program too. You wouldnt want men chaperoning a girl scout campout would you?'

LGBT are not forcing their way in, they have always been there, then they were excluded. If a parent wants the 'best suitable club for their kids' exclude black people, would this be OK to you?
"You wouldnt want men chaperoning a girl scout campout would you?" Sure why not men and women chaperoning a campout.

Interesting comments. Phil, are you saying only gays wear loafers? Do straight men only wear steel toed lace up shoes? I know a gay man who wears steel toed lace up boots. Is it the boot or the shoe or both that is the giveaway? Would there be a problem with a lace up shoe man being a boy scout leader? My accountant wears both loafers and lace up shoes. Should I leave the office door open when he consults? Can you print you Guide to Spotting Gay Men? Where did you get it?

Sadly many of these children are being manipulated by adults who feel comfortable passing along homophobia. (I would say the same for any protest with children involved, that adults are often behind it.) And regardless of protests there are many homosexuals in the Boy Scouts whether the group chooses to admit it or not. It's foolish to pretend that saying 'no, you're not allowed' really stops much of anything these days. But hey, live in denial. Why not.
