This week’s Tour Through Time takes a look a collection of football images from Sentinel negatives believed to be from the 1960s.

There are no IDs, no date and the images are believed to be of Carlisle High School or possibly Washington Redskins football players.

The lead photo shows former Redskins quarterback Sonny Jurgensen throwing the football. The Redskins trained in Carlisle for 34 years — from 1963-1994 and also 2001-2002.

Tour Through Time will run Saturdays in the Sentinel as a joint project with the Cumberland County Historical Society. Sentinel photographers will work with staff at the Historical Society each week to offer a look at Carlisle and the surrounding area through the years.
