Two North Carolina men are in Cumberland County Prison after a police pursuit on Interstate 81 last week.
State Police at Carlisle reported Monday that they have filed numerous charges against Jaquavias Kelson, 20, and Marcus Mack, 20, both of Charlottesville, North Carolina, after a pursuit at 10:25 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 26.
Police said Kelson was stopped for traffic violations on I-81 north in Middlesex Township, but he fled the stop and a pursuit ensued.
Police said Kelson’s vehicle was stopped by “legal intervention” on Skyline Drive in Silver Spring Township.
When police stopped the vehicle, they seized four firearms and marijuana.
Kelson was charged with prohibited possession of a firearm, altering the identification of a firearm, firearms not to be carried without a license, fleeing police, possession of a small amount of marijuana, recklessly endangering another person and summary traffic offenses.
Mack was charged with altering identification of a firearm, firearms not to be carried without a license and possession of a small amount of marijuana.
Both were arraigned last week in front of Magisterial District Judge Mark Martin, who set bail at $510,000 cash.
