Police are investigating an attempted burglary in the 300 block of A Street. The attempted burglary occurred between 5 p.m. Oct. 22 and 2:30 p.m. on Oct. 23 when an unknown person tried to enter the house through a kitchen window. Police seek information.

State Police at Carlisle (717-249-2121)

Police are investigating the theft of two flags from a home in the 100 block of Race Street in Boiling Springs. The theft occurred between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m on Oct. 23.

State Police at Newport (717-567-3110)

Two people were injured in a motorcycle crash on Spring Road at Landisburg Road, Carroll Township, at 2:14 p.m. Oct. 21. Police said Amanda F. Reed, 38, of Loysville, was driving a 1995 Honda Accord attempting to make a left turn onto Landisburg Road when she turned into the path of a 2005 Harley-Davidson Road King traveling south on Spring Road. Police said Eugene W. Woll, 61, of Port Carbon, Pennsylvania, opted to dump his motorcycle instead of T-boning the vehicle, and he avoided striking the Honda. Woll and his passenger, Donna M. Woll, 60, were injured, and they were transported to Geisinger Holy Spirit. Reed was not injured but was cited.
