Carlisle Police (717-243-5252)

Heather M. Bechtel, 32, of Carlisle, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after police and other law enforcement served a warrant at 12:04 p.m. Oct. 31. Bechtel was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant, and police found a glass pipe used for smoking crack cocaine, along with five 30 mg Oxycodone pills not prescribed to her, in her purse.

West Shore Regional Police (717-238-9676)

A bicyclist suffered “severe injuries” after a vehicle struck the person on Market Street at State Street in Lemoyne on Oct. 31. Police said the bicyclist was taken to a local hospital and the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene, cooperating with police. Police seek witnesses of the crash.

State Police at Newport (717-567-3110)

A gate door was removed from its hinge in the 400 block of South 4th Street, Newport, between 10 p.m. Oct. 3. and 7:30 a.m. Oct. 4.
