Lucas Cassell, 18, of Shippensburg, was charged with harassment after police said he repeatedly called another person on Jan. 18 after being told not to do so. Police said he made threatening remarks.

Ahmed Khali Alshamardal, 35, of Shippensburg, was charged with felony strangulation, simple assault and harassment after police responded to a 911 hang-up in Southampton Township on Jan. 25. He remains in Cumberland County Prison on $50,000 cash bail.

Three people were injured after a five-vehicle crash on Interstate 81 north in Middlesex Township at 3:15 p.m. Jan. 26. Police said Ricky L. Bricker, 58, of Greencastle, was driving a 1999 GMC Sierra in the left lane on I-81 north when he failed to see the stopped traffic and struck the back of a 2015 Honda Civic, starting a chain reaction that would involve three more cars. Bricker and the Honda driver, Matthew L. Jordan, 24, of Pleasantville, New York, both suffered minor injuries but refused medical attention. A third driver, Deborah E. Robertson, 69, of Boiling Springs, also suffered minor injuries and was transported by Cumberland Goodwill EMS to UPMC Pinnacle Carlisle. The vehicles belonging to the drivers who suffered injuries had to be towed. The other two were driven from the scene.

Small change was stolen from various unlocked vehicles on Helen Avenue and Kali Avenue in Southampton Township sometime between 9:30 p.m. Nov. 30 and 7 a.m. Dec. 1, 2017, police reported Jan. 27.

The rear door window of a vehicle was broken in the 1300 block of Kuhn Road, Monroe Township, sometime on Jan. 26.

Diesel fuel was taken from a truck in the 700 block of Doubling Gap Road, Lower Mifflin Township, sometime between midnight and 11 a.m. Jan. 25.

A garage door was discovered ajar but no items were missing from a residence in the 400 block of Pine Grove Road, Dickinson Township, sometime between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Dec. 26, police reported Jan. 26.

Daniel Paul Adams, 35, of Liverpool, was charged with felony strangulation and harassment after police said he grabbed a woman by the throat and pushed her onto a bed during an argument at 3:29 p.m. Jan. 25 on Parkway Drive in Liverpool Borough. Police said the woman had visible marks of choking. He remains in Perry County Prison on $2,500 bail.

Items were stolen from a cabin in the 4400 block of Laurel Run Road, Southwest Madison Township, sometime between Jan. 25 and Jan. 24.
