Nathan M. Parr Murtoff, 34, of Mechanicsburg, was driving a 2001 Honda Civic east on Boiling Springs Road in Monroe Township at 8:03 p.m. Jan. 4 when the car went off the road and hit a tree. He and a passenger, Lindsey B. Kauffman, 29, of Mechanicsburg, were transported to Geisinger Holy Spirit for suspected minor injuries.
Leah G. Cross, 20, of Shippensburg was driving west on Walnut Bottom Road near the intersection with East Orange St in Shippensburg Township at 5:44 a.m. Jan. 4 when the car left the road, hitting two mailboxes and a utility pole. She was taken to Chambersburg Hospital for suspected minor injuries.

Chernor Jalloh, 36, of Carlisle, was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphrenalia, driving under the influence and driving under the influence of a combination of a controlled substance and alcohol after police saw him driving erratically in the 1100 block of Harrisburg Pike at 10:48 p.m. Jan. 2. The vehicle also had equipment violations.
Shippensburg Police (717-532-7361)
Justin M. Robinson, 34, and Lillian J. Fogle, 32, both of Shippensburg, were charged with passing bad checks after police said they stopped payment on a $600 rent check in November 2017. Robinson said the check had been stopped so the money could be used to pay the new landlord after the previous landlord sold the residence without telling them.
