- Thomas Borders, 30, of Newville, was charged with terroristic threats, simple assault, harassment, criminal mischief, disorderly conduct and driving while privilege is suspended after police said he sent a series of threatening messages to a woman before going to a property in the 600 block of Doubling Gap Road, Lower Mifflin Township, and damaging a door sometime between 2:22 p.m. and 6:36 p.m. Jan. 17, police reported Feb. 3. Borders is in prison on $40,000 cash bail.
- A driver was injured after a one-vehicle crash on Thompson Hollow Road, Southampton Township, at 3:31 p.m. Jan. 16. Police said Devin K. Arruda, 20, of Shippensburg, was driving a 2008 Ford Escape when she lost control of the vehicle on a curve due to slick snow and ice-covered conditions. The vehicle hit a stone barrier and rotated before dropping over an embankment. Arruda suffered minor injuries and was transported to Chambersburg Hospital.
