A vehicle was keyed or scratched while it was parked in the 300 block of North Fayette Street prior to 8 a.m. Feb. 14. Police seek information.

Upper Allen Township Police (717-795-2445)

A juvenile driver was injured after a single-vehicle crash on Route 15 north near the South Market Street overpass at 8:08 a.m. Feb. 18. Police said the driver lost control due to an icy patch or slush on the road, and the vehicle struck the center guardrail several times before coming to rest. The vehicle sustained disabling damage, and the driver was transported to Geisinger Holy Spirit.

State Police at Carlisle (717-249-2121)

Cody Guyer, 27, of Ephrata, was charged with felony burglary, criminal trespass, theft, receiving stolen property, as well as misdemeanor institutional vandalism and criminal mischief following a burglary in the first block of Springview Road in West Pennsboro Township around 4:30 a.m. Feb. 7.

The driver and passenger in a 2008 Ford truck were injured when police said the driver, John D. Tuggle, 29, of Uniontown, was traveling too fast for the road, went off the road while negotiating a right curve in the 1500 block of Commerce Avenue in South Middleton Township and struck a ditch, causing the truck to roll onto the driver’s side around 11:16 p.m. Feb. 15.

Edward Ronaldo Biggs, 58, of Omecolu, Georgia, was charged with felony firearms not to be carried without a license and summary traffic violations after police said a concealed firearm was found in his vehicle during a traffic stop around 8:50 a.m. Feb. 18 along Interstate 81 south in Middlesex Township near mile-marker 52.

Twenty-seven year old Ashley Wilson, of Newville, was injured when she hit a utility pole after swerving to avoid a vehicle that had passed her vehicle in a no passing zone on Mount Rock Road in West Pennsboro Township around 7:30 p.m. Feb. 11. The other vehicle did not stop.

Around 10:45 p.m. Feb. 6, two Shippensburg men were robbed in Deerfield Commons in Southampton Township. Police provided no further information.

State Police at Newport (717-576-3110)

Police said a juvenile boy was charged with rape after an investigation into child abuse involving a juvenile girl between May 1, 2017, and Nov. 3, 2017, in New Buffalo Borough. Police did not release the ages of the suspect or the victim.

Someone kicked in the front door of a residence on Youngs Church Road, Carroll Township, between 7 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Jan. 12, police reported Feb. 18. No items were reported stolen by the victim.

Police are investigating a hit-and-run in which a vehicle struck a parked, empty vehicle on South Market Street, Duncannon, at 2:23 p.m. Feb. 13. The struck vehicle sustained minor damage. The other vehicle fled the scene.

A driver was injured after a one-vehicle crash on North Fourth Street, Newport, at 11:24 a.m. Feb. 7. Police said James R. Grant, 56, of Newport, was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Avalanche on North Fourth Street in the area of Fickes Lane when he exited the road and struck a business sign, a metal pole and street sign. His vehicle traveled back onto the road, crossed the opposing lane, exited on the left side of the road and came to rest partially off the road. Grant was injured and transported to UPMC Pinnacle West Shore. A passenger was not injured.

Someone dropped a small plastic bag with suspected marijuana in the parking lot of Giant Food Stores, Newport Plaza, Howe Township, around 8:07 p.m. Jan. 14, police reported Feb. 18. Police seek information.

Someone gained access to the Center for Spiritual Formation on Orchard Way, Greenwood Township, between 1:30 p.m. Feb. 14 and 10:30 a.m. Feb. 17. Police said it is likely the person gained access by kicking in the front door. It is not believed that anything was taken, though several empty beer cans were discovered in the front of the building.

A bicycle was found near the intersection of Caroline and Peach streets in Newport around 8 a.m. Feb. 17.

Sabrina K. Simmon, 20, of Shermans Dale, was injured when she lost control of her vehicle after hitting a patch of ice around 8:11 a.m. Feb. 17 while traveling south on Mountain View Road in Carroll Township, causing her to hit an embankment and roll her vehicle onto its left side.
