Police: Woman assaulted constable in Upper Frankford

UPPER FRANKFORD TWP. — A Newville woman faces charges after police say she attacked a constable on Oct. 16.

Mandi N. Hockenberry, 24, was charged with felony aggravated assault, misdemeanor simple assault, resisting arrest and summary harassment after an incident in the first block of Point Road, Upper Frankford Township, at 9:40 a.m. Oct. 16.

Police said at the time, Hockenberry assaulted a Cumberland County Constable.

She was arrested and arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Jessica Brewbaker and is currently held in Cumberland County Prison on $50,000 cash bail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Nov. 7 before Magisterial District Judge Vivian Cohick.
