Two Cumberland County men are in prison after police say they robbed a convenience store in West Pennsboro Township.

Around 3:20 a.m. Saturday, Joshua Michael Nye, 35, of Mechanicsburg, entered a Sheetz store in the 3200 block of Ritner Highway and committed an armed robbery, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

Nye threatened the teller and demanded money before fleeing in a vehicle driven by 26-year-old Seth Allen Hummel, of Biglerville, police said.

Police attempted to conduct a traffic stop, but the two fled, causing a pursuit, according to police.

The two were eventually stopped and taken to Cumberland County Prison, police said.

Nye is charged with felony robbery, misdemeanor simple assault, terroristic threats, theft, receiving stolen property and possession of drug paraphernalia and is currently being held in lieu of $125,000 bail, according to court records.

Hummel is being held in lieu of $50,000 and is charged with felony conspiracy to commit robbery, fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, misdemeanor DUI and summary traffic violations, court records show.

Preliminary hearings for Hummel and Nye are scheduled for 11:45 p.m. Dec. 7 in front of Magisterial District Judge Anthony Adams.
