State Police at Newport are investigating an armed robbery at the Dollar General Store in Tyrone Township on Nov. 20.

Police Wednesday reported that two white men wearing black pants, black hooded sweatshirts and a ski mask and bandanna entered the store in the 2000 block of Landisburg Road at about 9:50 p.m. Monday, Nov. 20. One of the men displayed a gun and demanded money and cigarettes.

The two then left in an unknown direction with an undisclosed amount of money and multiple packs of cigarettes, police said.

One man is described as 5-foot-10 to 6-foot, about 160 to 170 pounds with blue eyes. The other man is described as 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-8, weighing about 150 to 160 pounds with brown or hazel eyes.
