Police arrested a Chambersburg man Sunday after they say he shot his wife in the face.

State Police at Chambersburg were called to the 4600 block of Jack Road in St. Thomas Township, Franklin County, around 9:45 a.m. Sunday. According to police, James Shatzer, 49, shot his wife in the face with a revolver during an argument.

The victim was flown to a hospital in York for treatment. Her condition is not known.

Shatzer is charged with attempted criminal homicide and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and was placed in Franklin County Jail. This incident is under investigation
