A Shermans Dale man faces several felony charges after police say he had contact with an underage girl between 2007 and 2013.

Carl M. Hower, 55, was charged with felony rape of a child, felony statutory sexual assault, felony involuntary deviate sexual intercourse of a person less than 16, felony involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, felony unlawful contact with a minor, felony aggravated indecent assault, felony endangering the welfare of a child, felony corruption of minors, misdemeanor indecent assault of a person less than 13, misdemeanor indecent assault of a person less than 16 and providing alcohol to minors on July 15 after an investigation into the incidents.

Police said the incidents occurred between 2007 and July 2013. No information on the crimes was released.

Hower was arrested on July 15, arraigned and held in Perry County Prison on $75,000 cash bail. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for July 19 before Magisterial District Judge Elizabeth Frownfelter.
