A man is dead after a two-vehicle crash on Route 322 in Dauphin County Wednesday night.

State Police at Newport said Richard Waldman, 62, of Maple Glen, Pennsylvania, was driving a 2014 Porsche east on Route 322 in Reed Township when he lost control of the vehicle on the wet road. The vehicle crossed into the westbound lane and into the path of a 2004 Ford SUV driven by a 17-year-old boy from Lewistown.

The front of the SUV struck the passenger side of the Porsche.

Waldman, who was wearing a seat belt, died of his injuries as a result of the crash, according to police.

The teen and his passenger were transported to Geisinger Holy Spirit with unknown injuries.

The crash closed the westbound lanes of Route 322 for several hours Wednesday.
