An 11-year-old boy who was hit by a truck Friday in Hampden Township remains in critical but stable condition at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center as of late Monday morning, according to Hampden Township Police Chief Steven Junkin.

Around 5:35 p.m., the boy and his parents were crossing the street in the 100 block of Sporting Hill Road when he was struck by a white Dodge Ram pickup truck, police said.

The driver stopped and is being cooperative with the police investigation, Junkin said.

Staff from Patient First clinic assisted until Hampden Township EMS arrived and transported the boy Hershey Medical Center, police said.
