YWCA Carlisle will host a forum on health disparities as part of its Racial Justice Community Conversation Series.
The free event will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 26, in the gymnasium of the YWCA Carlisle, 301 G St.
The event will address growing concerns regarding health disparities among community members, focusing on marginalized people and families.
Tina Nixon, senior vice president of mission effectiveness and chief diversity officer of UPMC Pinnacle, and Katrina M. Thoma, director of medical services with Sadler Health Care, will share opening remarks and observations. The panelists will share their experiences in the medical field, as well as what they’ve witnessed with health policies in the community.
Light refreshments will be served, and there will be a question-and-answer session after the panel of presenters.
