Carlisle Borough is asking drivers to avoid an area near the fairgrounds Thursday afternoon due to a water main break.
Crews are working on the scene of the break at Gobin Drive and Charles Street near the fairgrounds.
On Wednesday, crews dealt with a water main break in the 100 block of East Pomfret Street that closed the street from South Bedford to South East Street for several hours.
Water main breaks occur more often this time of the year, and the borough is asking residents to report any breaks they spot.
Residents are asked to call the borough at 717-249-4422 between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday to report breaks. To report a break after hours or on the weekend or a holiday, call Carlisle Borough Police Department at 717-243-5252.
