The Salvation Army Family Store will hold its grand opening celebration from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at its new store location at 469 E. North St. in Carlisle
Lauren Sheeler, business associate for the Salvation Army, said refreshments will be provided by the Salvation Army Ladies’ Auxiliary. Shoppers may also pop a balloon to get a discount of 10 percent to 100 percent off their purchases.
The 5,000-square-foot store has been nearly two years in planning and renovation. The store features onsite parking.
“We’re just really excited to finally open the doors,” Sheeler said.
The store is stocked with clothes, artwork and furniture — all of which are new arrivals to the Salvation Army.
“Everything in this store is new. Nothing has been picked over,” Sheeler said.
The store is not accepting donations at this time due to its grand opening and the preparations leading up to it. Sheeler said it would likely start accepting donations next week.
