Community members and elected or appointed officials are invited to attend an open house at Safe Harbour.
The community open house will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Jan. 11 at the James Wilson facility, 102 W. High St., Carlisle.
Guests will have the opportunity to tour the facility and learn more about the nonprofit organization and its mission. They will also be able to discover why most of the organization’s past and present members are so successful. Staff members will be available to answer questions.
There is no need for an appointment. The public may drop in at any time between 4 and 7 p.m. Refreshments will be available.
Safe Harbour provides a continuum of housing services for homeless individuals and families in Cumberland County. Safe Harbour’s services include operating a short-term temporary shelter program for families and single females; a long-term temporary shelter program that helps individuals and families in need of longer-term assistance; and single-room-occupancy permanent housing facilities people who are ready for independent living, but need additional support.
