Safe Harbour will honor its retired president at a roast.
The Wendell Hollinger Retirement Roast will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. Nov. 4 at Allenberry Resort. Several of Hollinger’s closest peers have volunteered to celebrate his retirement with some friendly “remarks.”
Hollinger retired this summer after serving at Safe Harbour for 23 years. During his tenure, Hollinger was responsible for the overall direction and administration of all programs in fulfilling Safe Harbour’s mission of providing housing and supportive services for homeless and nearly homeless individuals and families.
Tickets for this special event are $75 per person and will contribute to funding Safe Harbour programs and services. Tickets may be online at safeharbour.org, by emailing to firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 717-249-2200.
Safe Harbour’s services include operating an emergency shelter for families and single females who need a secure place to live and an environment to begin getting their lives under control; bridge housing that helps individuals and families in need of longer-term assistance to continue acquiring the skills necessary for independent living and a productive lifestyle; and single-room-occupancy permanent housing for single people who are ready for independent living, but need additional “life support.”
