The Weis Markets location on High Street will become the next Carlisle grocery store to sell beer and wine.

“I can confirm Weis Markets’ interest in establishing a cafe where beer and wine is sold in our High Street store. Since we are relatively early in this process, I do not have a timeline,” said Dennis Curtin, director of public relations for the Sunbury-based grocery chain, in an email.

According to the public notice posted at the store, Weis has applied for a restaurant liquor license that previously was owned by Andalusia. That restaurant closed in downtown Carlisle at the start of the year.
