A Carlisle homebrew shop is closing its doors.
Rhone Brew Co., 419 E. High St., announced on its Facebook page Wednesday that it was closing up shop.
“Friends — thank you so much for all your love and support over the past few years. We love all things wine and beer and have enjoyed getting to know each and every one of you. At this time, we have decided to shift our focus and pursue new opportunities,” the post reads.
The post did not indicate a closing date for the shop.
Owner Jeremy Rhone opened the shop offering supplies for homebrewers, winemakers and smaller breweries in May 2016. Rhone also offered the area’s only brew-on-premises station at which customers could make their own beer.
Even without a taproom, Rhone built a following by attending beer festivals and participating in nonprofit events and fundraisers with his own specialty brews. A tap room had been planned in conjunction with the store, but that project had run behind schedule.
