YORK — A one-mile section of Interstate 83 near York reopened following a four-vehicle crash that closed the northbound lanes for more than an hour.

I-83 North reopened at around 1:40 p.m. Tuesday.

Two people were transported to hospitals for injuries they received in the crash at Exit 18 for Mount Rose Avenue in Springettsbury Township.

The extent of their injuries was not immediately available.

The crash closed I-83 North between Exit 18 and Exit 19 for Route 462.

Southbound traffic was temporarily restricted to one lane.
