The Carlisle Parks and Recreation Department is sponsoring a community bicycle safety demonstration and bike ride at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 19, at Dickinson College's Kline Center parking lot on West High Street.
The Harrisburg Bicycle Club will conduct a short bike ride to learn safety practices for bike riding on the new bike lanes in downtown Carlisle.
Before the ride, officers from the Carlisle Police Department and Dickinson College Campus Police will brief the group on safety information pertinent for downtown.
