Penn State Extension in Cumberland County will hold a series of four informal classes on “Sustainable Gardening” topics in April. The classes will be held 7-8:30 p.m. Wednesday evenings at the Cumberland County Extension office, 310 Allen Road, Carlisle.

The dates and topics are: April 7, Soil Management Basics; April 14, Green Roof Gardens; April 21, Container Vegetable Gardening; and April 28, Pruning Basics. Classes are taught by local experts and Penn State Extension Educators and include time for your questions; the fee covers handouts and light refreshments.

The registration fee for each class is $6 or $20 for all four. Class size is limited, and registration is requested by March 30. Walk-in registration at the door is $8 per class.
