"Ready, Get Set, Grow!” If you are anxious to get outside and get your hands dirty this spring, then don’t miss this free workshop offered by the Penn State Master Gardeners in Cumberland County. Scheduled for Saturday, March 20, from 9:30 a.m. to noon at the Cumberland County Extension office, 310 Allen Road, Carlisle, “Ready, Get Set, Grow!” covers vegetable gardening tips and organic gardening techniques to help you have a healthy and productive vegetable garden this year.

In the first session of the morning, Master Gardener Ann Dailey shares lessons learned from the Dickinson College Community Garden, where Penn State Master Gardeners teach and mentor community gardeners. Other sessions include growing cool-season vegetables and organic pesticides for the home vegetable garden. Light refreshments and handouts are included.
