January 28, 1929- February 12, 2018
Jay A. Dentler left the world Monday, February 12, 2018, to be with his beloved wife of 60 plus years, Alva M. (Stephenson) Dentler and his son of only 19 years, Jeff C. Dentler.
Jay was born January 28, 1929, to the deceased Cliff Dentler and Ellen (Lucas) Dentler.
He graduated from Mechanicsburg, class of 1948 and still attended class luncheons. Jay served his country overseas in the Navy for 3 years. Coming home he worked as a lineman and underground specialist for PPL until his retirement. The men he worked with are still his buddies.
After retirement Jay and Alva sold crafts and antiques under the name of Creekside Collectibles. He was a longtime resident and historian of Williams Grove. He will be missed by his daughter Cathi E. Dentler and son-in-law, C.M. “Rudy” Rudisill.
A visitation will be held Thursday, February 15, 2018, from 9-11 am in the Cocklin Funeral Home, Inc., 30 N. Chestnut St., Dillsburg. Private burial will be held in the Dillsburg Cemetery-Mountain Road.
