Studio ‘91 dancers will perform their original production of “’Twas the Night Before Christmas” this weekend at Cumberland Valley High School in Silver Spring Township.

The ballet studio, based out of Upper Allen Township, performs the biennial show every other year. About 120 dancers from first graders to high school students will take part in the show, which features original choreography created by Studio ‘91 instructors and guest choreographers.

“Affectionately referred to as ‘’Twas’ by our dance family, this show weaves ballet, tap, jazz and modern dance into the timeless story we all know and love,” said Janice Brougher-Roos, founder and owner of Studio ‘91. “It is such a great way to get into the spirit of the holiday season—especially since Santa Claus is known to make an appearance.”

The show runs about two hours long, and will be staged at Cumberland Valley’s Performing Arts Center at the high school. Performances will be at 6 p.m. Friday and noon on Saturday.

Tickets are $18 and will be available for purchase at the door, online at, over the phone at 717-691-5567, or at Studio ‘91 at 712 Grantham Road, Mechanicsburg.

In addition to the performances of “’Twas,” Studio ‘91 will also perform its annual holiday show, “Simply the Best Christmas Ever 2017” at 10 a.m. Saturday, also at Cumberland Valley. Tickets for that show are $7.50.
