Appalachian Brewing Company (ABC) announced Friday it will open a Shippensburg Micropub & Grill this month.
ABC’s Shippensburg location is slated to open in mid-February at 15 West King Street in the borough, which was the former location for Knute's Pub and Grill. This is the seventh location for the company, which currently has brewpubs in Harrisburg, Gettysburg and Mechanicsburg.
Knute’s Pub and Grill closed its doors on Dec. 29. “This decision did not come lightly and it is with a heavy heart that the owners say good-bye,” the owners said in a Facebook post.
The location will offer pub food like sandwiches, burgers, quesadillas and desserts, and will have about 12-17 beers available in addition to the seasonal beers the company produces. It comes with a fully-operational liquor license.
“We hope our Shippensburg customers and friends find this to be a convenient location to enjoy great craft beer, craft soda and award-winning menu items. ABC is committed to providing the same fresh food and beverage offerings in our new Shippensburg location,” Director of Operations Artie Tafoya said. “This is our newest location in Pennsylvania and we are very excited to become a part of the Shippensburg community!”
