The U.S. Army Heritage and Education Center in Carlisle (USAHEC), PA is excited to announce this year’s theme for our 2018 Army Heritage Days program. 2018 marks the 50th anniversary of the Tet Offensive, one of the most pivotal campaigns of the Vietnam War. The USAHEC is commemorating the anniversary with a Tet-focused lecture, displays and special programs throughout the two day event, as well as an increase of equipment and reenactors at the Vietnam Fire Support base on the Army Heritage Trail. As always, Army Heritage Days, will encompass the history of the Army and the development of the American Soldier from pre-French and Indian War to current operations. Events will run both May 19th and 20th, 2018 from 9am to 5pm each day.

The tanks and tank obstacle course, a visitor favorite last year, will be returning with an increase in the number and types of tracked vehicles and additional times the tanks run the course over that weekend. This year the tanks and other tracked vehicles will span from World War I thru the Cold War. In addition, the schedule will be packed with brand new programs this year never before seen at the USAHEC.

The event admission and parking are free and open to the public. The USAHEC will release more information as the schedule is confirmed and new equipment is added to the program.
