As two new Buffalo Wild Wings Grill & Bar gets set for a grand opening in the region in October, the restaurant chain said its Hampden Township location isn’t too far behind.

Buffalo Wild Wings Regional Marketing Manager Traci Micheau said: “Buffalo Wild Wings is excited to become part of the Mechanicsburg community this December.”

Details on its grand opening have not yet been released. The restaurant will be in the Silver Creek Plaza off the Carlisle Pike near Toys ‘R’ Us.

According to Silver Creek Plaza on the Pike’s Facebook page, the plaza owners are optimistic that the restaurant will open on Dec. 1.

Neato Burrito and F&M Trust will also open locations in the plaza this fall.

According to the Associated Press, two Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant are set to open in York County in October – one in Hanover on Oct. 15 and another in Springettsbury Township on Oct. 29.

In both instances, the first 100 customers at each location will receive coupon books that will allow them to get six free wings every week for a year.

Buffalo Wild Wings would not comment on whether Mechanicsburg area residents will get the same chance for free wings.

The Associated Press added that another Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant is planned for the Colonial Park Mall in Harrisburg.
